I mean, come on. I hear firecrackers going off just looking at this one. It’s an 18-piece limited edition, released in 2024, as part of a series of homages to Constant Girard’s legendary pocket watch from 1889. Centered around that iconic three-gold-bridged tourbillon movement, hand engraving is done throughout the case and dial, with two horses acting as parts of the bridges, while a layer of red grand feu enamel on the hand-guilloche dial gives the watch a, well, Lunar New Year feel to it all. Most impressive to me is the Champleve enameling on the sides of the case and the caseback, with the sheer amount of labor hours needed for all the work contributing to that eye-watering mid-six-figure price tag.
