Little Book’s The Infinite Edition II Blends Whiskeys From Three Eras

  • Little Book The Infinite Edition II expands Freddie Noe’s multi-generational blending project, featuring bourbons created by his grandfather Booker Noe, father Fred Noe, and himself.
  • The 2025 release features whiskies aged between seven and 22 years, including some of the oldest ever produced by the James B. Beam Distilling Co., with approximately 30% carried over from the 2024 inaugural edition.
  • This limited-edition expression, bottled at 120.8 proof and priced at $200, will be available in fewer quantities than standard Little Book releases.

Rich in classic Kentucky bourbon character, Little Book The Infinite was one of the breakout new whiskeys of 2024. The inaugural release blended bourbons crafted by the late Booker Noe, his son Fred Noe, and grandson Freddie Noe, with whiskeys aged from seven to 20 years. Now, The Infinite returns for Edition II, blending a portion of Edition I with some of the oldest whiskey ever released from the James B. Beam Distilling Co.

The Little Book series was launched in 2017 under the leadership of Freddie Noe, eighth-generation master distiller. (The name “Little Book” comes from a family nickname for Freddie, referencing similarities to his grandfather, Booker.) The annual releases consistently feature a blend of whiskeys from across parent company Suntory’s portfolio. Components have included a wide range of Kentucky bourbons and ryes, as well as cask-finished malt, whiskeys distilled with rice, and even highly aged Canadian whisky.

Introduced in 2024, Little Book The Infinite was the series’ first line extension, in which Freddie blends Beam-distilled whiskeys from different eras and master distillers. This year’s The Infinite Edition II features the following bourbons in unspecified ratios:

  • 22-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey, distilled by Booker Noe
  • 10-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey, distilled by Fred Noe
  • 7-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey made with extended fermentation, distilled by Freddie Noe
  • Little Book The Infinite 1

Technically, the whiskey can only carry a seven-year age statement, which indicates the youngest liquid in the blend. However, it’s worth noting that the 22-year-old bourbon is one of the oldest whiskeys we’ve seen included in a Beam product. (The recently announced Knob Creek 21-Year is officially the distillery’s oldest age-stated release.)

Fast Facts: Little Book The Infinite — Edition II

Production and maturation: Little Book The Infinite Edition II begins with an undisclosed portion of 2024’s Edition 1. Freddie Noe, eighth-generation master distiller, then blended in three additional components, including 7-, 10-, and 22-year-old bourbons. The final product clocks in at 120.8 proof.
MSRP and availability
: Little Book The Infinite is a limited, annual release with an MSRP of around $200. While exact bottle counts weren’t disclosed, the company says this is generally a smaller release than standard Little Book bottlings.

For reference, Little Book The Infinite Edition I contained the following whiskeys in undisclosed percentages:

  • 20-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey, distilled by Booker Noe
  • 14-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey, distilled by Fred Noe
  • 7-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey, distilled by Freddie Noe
  • 8-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey, referred to as a “shared family component”

Approximately 30% of Edition I was retained to serve as the foundation for Edition II, a practice that will continue in some form with future releases. Indeed, the name “The Infinite” is a nod to the continued inclusion of older blends. In essence, regardless of the edition, a portion of The Infinite will always include some of those original whiskeys.

“Edition III will feature Little Book The Infinite I and II with new components to be discovered,” Tim Heuisler, Beam Distilling global brand ambassador, told Food & Wine. “The Little Book Infinite series is a unique extension of the brand; it is a combination of multi-generational liquid highlighting the past, present, and future of the James B. Beam Distilling Co.”

Brand tasting notes for Edition II highlight aromas of fresh apple, pear, caramel, and barrel char. The palate offers “rich vanilla, caramel, and apple with subtle notes of dark stone fruit,” leading to a warm finish.

Little Book The Infinite Edition II is bottled at 120.8 proof. Although the exact number of bottles remains undisclosed, it’s a more limited (and more expensive) whiskey than standard Little Book releases, with a suggested retail price of $200.
