Chic Dinnerware Sets and Pasta Bowls From $7 Apiece

Finding the right dinnerware set for your home is no easy feat. I didn’t realize how difficult it would be until a cross-country move a few years back forced me to contemplate the merits of pasta bowls versus dinner plates, and ceramic versus porcelain. Since I use these dishes every day, my hours of research and many conversations with my mom were warranted.

Fable The Pasta Bowls, Set of 4

I’ve owned my Fable dinnerware set for a few years, and I fall more in love with it every day. While I have everything — including salad plates, dinner plates, and cereal bowls — I use the pasta bowls most often. They’re the perfect size and shape for salads, baked ziti, fried rice, and more. Simple, sturdy, and selling for just $12 apiece, the Latte Stoneware Pasta Bowls will never go out of style. I’m drawn to the vibrancy of the glazes and the uniqueness of the pattern around the outside. What’s more, the comments section is littered with words like “versatile,” “well-made,” and “durable,” which makes me feel confident about buying these for my own kitchen.    

Old Havana Dinner Plates, Set of 4 

Hundreds of Anthropologie shoppers have stocked their kitchens with the retailer’s Old Havana line. Considering the range of colors, the understated, timeless patterns, and breadth of options (including mugs, cereal bowls, pasta bowls, and more), it’s easy to understand why it has been an Anthropologie staple since 2012. A perk of its long lifespan on the retailer’s shelves is that it’s easy to procure replacements if a plate breaks or you want to expand your set.    

Le Creuset Dinnerware Set, Set of 16

While Le Creuset is famous for its Dutch ovens, the brand’s dinnerware, coffee mugs, and casserole dishes are equally impressive. What sets this set apart, beyond its bright colors and chip-resistant glaze, is its versatility. At once striking and simple, Stone Lain’s sophisticated charcoal dinnerware is guaranteed to make an impression. It’s a great option if you want plates and pasta bowls, since you get six of each style when you buy the bundle. At less than $10 a piece, it’s also a great deal.
