The air fryer is one of the most significant kitchen appliance innovations of the 2020s, but perhaps none has impressed us as much as the Ninja Crispi, one of our 2025 Game Changers and the best glass air fryer we’ve tested. Rather than the bulky black plastic model that likely comes to mind when you think of the air fryer category, the streamlined, non-toxic Crispi looks not unlike a glass Pyrex dish, and has a nifty pod that sits on top to perform the actual air frying — and it really has changed the way I cook. If you haven’t tried it yet, you now have the opportunity to buy the latest and greatest version: the Ninja Crispi Pro.
Available in cyberspace and ash gray colors (it’s already sold out in bone and rose quartz), this improved model brings two new functions and a larger cooking capacity to the table. Not to mention, it solves my biggest pain point with the original Ninja Crispi air fryer. Keep reading to see why I can’t wait to get my hands on the Crispi Pro.
Ninja Crispi Pro Air Fryer

When I wrote my initial Ninja Crispi review last November, I quipped that I broke up with my old black plastic air fryer for the Crispi; nearly a year later, we’re still in a committed relationship.
I praised this innovative, non-toxic air fryer for its skill at reviving leftovers, ease of cleaning compared to most other air fryers (the glass body is dishwasher-safe), and construction that consists of significantly less black plastic than your standard model. I still use it multiple times a week and recommend it to everyone who asks me which air fryer they should buy. When I’m cooking alone, the Crispi is my sous chef, perfectly baking salmon fillets while I tend to the rice and sautéed vegetables. Other times, it crisps up chickpeas for a snack or brings day-old crispy Brussels sprouts back to life. The Pro promises all of these same perks — in a bigger, more capable frame.

In addition to the original four functions — air fry, bake, max crisp, and recrisp — the Crispi Pro can roast and dehydrate your food in its glass containers. But perhaps most notably, it has a dial that allows you to set your exact preferred temperature, up to 450°F. This feature is lacking in the previous iteration and has occasionally caused me frustration when following air fryer-specific recipes.

The 1800-watt pod is compatible with the brand’s 2.5-quart, 4-quart, and 6-quart glass containers, each with helpful handles so you can easily bring it to the dinner table. Though the 4-quart size is sold separately, the other two are included with the Crispi Pro, along with BPA-free storage lids, crisper plates, and a cool new base that looks like it belongs in the kitchen of a spaceship. According to Ninja, the 6-quart container can fit a whole chicken and feed up to 10 people…sounds to me like you need it if you’re hosting Thanksgiving.
If you’re ready to upgrade to a non-toxic glass air fryer, you can’t go wrong with a Ninja Crispi — and if you want to benefit from the most recent air fryer innovations, I recommend choosing the new Ninja Crispi Pro.
