Vintage Omega Seamaster DeVille

Starting you off this week with a classic vintage Omega Seamaster DeVille. This isn’t one of the “fat lug” 1950s style, it is a 1960s dress watch version that is timeless and classy. The 34mm steel case is crisp and unpolished, with sharp edges and a really nicely preserved Hippocampus medallion on the back. The silver dial looks perfect and original, with steel stick markers and hands. No date window to mar the beautiful symmetry. The crown is the correct style and is signed with the Omega logo as it should. The case is the front-loading type, so no movement pictures.

Vintage 1958 Bulova

Here’s a nice vintage 1958 Bulova with a 23 jewel movement adjusted to six positions. Bulova made several different style watches with this exceptionally well made movement. They were adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and in three different positions, basically Chronometer grade standards without the title. Nice gold plated case that looks super clean, with a beautiful crème dial that has a sunburst pattern. The crown is signed with the Bulova name as it should. Great vintage piece with an above average movement and should have a below average price!

Croton “Chronomaster Aviator Sea Diver”

Next up is the best named watch ever, the Croton Chronomaster Aviator Sea Diver….this never gets old. But not only does it have a cool name, it’s actually a fantastic looking chrono diver. Croton made a plethora of variations of this model, and this one has a nice panda style white dial with black subdials, which looks to be in great condition. You can tell it’s a later model by the Croton logo on the dial. The aluminum elapsed time bezel has some scratches, but is in overall decent shape. The 38mm steel case looks unpolished with sharp chamfers on the lugs. No movement pictures, but the seller states it runs well. The seller also states that the chronograph stops and resets with the 4 o’clock pusher, which tells me the movement is likely a Landeron.

Vintage Benrus

This vintage Benrus may not have star power, but it makes up for that with great vintage style. The 34mm steel case is sharp and unpolished, with nice wide lugs. The silver crosshair dial looks clean, and has the Benrus logo at 3 o’clock which is unusual and gives it a different look. The dauphine hands have large lume plots that perfectly set off the super thin stick markers. The crown is original and signed with the Benrus three star logo. The case is a front-loading type and no movement pictures, but the seller states the watch runs well.

Vintage IWC Ingenieur

Next up is a special one, and one that you rarely see for auction. This vintage IWC Ingenieur is an absolute beauty, and a rare beast. The 36mm steel case is unpolished with sharp edges and bold lugs. The white dial has a Calatrava look, and looks super clean and original to me. Very classic look, especially with those broad steel dauphine hands. The IWC caliber 853 automatic movement is clean, and runs well per the seller. The crown looks to have been replaced, as it should have the IWC logo on it. Other than the crown, this watch looks correct and in great condition. Very scarce Ingenieur and a beauty at that!

Vintage Seiko A159-4039 Quartz LCD

Ending this week with a great looking vintage Seiko LCD. This A159-4039 is from 1978, and looks every bit a 70’s digital watch! It has both alarm and stop-watch functions, and comes on the original bracelet with the Seiko SQ signed buckle. The watch looks unpolished with the original brushed finish, and the LCD screen works with all segments and the backlight. Cool piece that will be fun to wear and shouldn’t break the bank.
