NBC’s TODAY With Jenna & Sheinelle Is Heading to Sandals Dunn’s River in Jamaica

Jamaica’s north coast is heading to morning television.

NBC’s TODAY with Jenna & Sheinelle has announced plans to broadcast two full episodes from Jamaica on March 26 and 27, bringing co-hosts Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones to Sandals Dunn’s River in Ocho Rios. The special shows, produced in partnership with the Jamaica Tourist Board and Sandals Resorts, will mark the inaugural on-location “Girls Trip” since Jones officially joined Hager as co-host in January.

The broadcasts will originate from the oceanfront setting at Sandals Dunn’s River, placing one of morning television’s most recognizable franchises directly on the sand along Jamaica’s northern shoreline.

A Live Audience From the Beach

The Jamaica episodes will include a viewer giveaway tied directly to the tapings. Fans can enter for a chance to win a sponsored, all-inclusive trip for two to Sandals Dunn’s River, where the winner will attend the live show experience steps from the Caribbean Sea.

The prize package includes a five-day, four-night stay at the adults-only, all-inclusive resort. The stay features unlimited dining across the property’s restaurants, premium spirits, and a full program of included land and water sports. Guests can dive with PADI-certified scuba diving, snorkel offshore reefs, play pickleball, and take part in a range of additional activities included in the Sandals experience. Roundtrip airfare is being provided courtesy of the Jamaica Tourist Board.

To enter, viewers must submit a short video explaining why they should join Jenna and Sheinelle in Jamaica. The winner will be revealed later in March. Entries are being accepted at jennaandsheinelle.com.

Morning Television Goes Caribbean

The March 26–27 broadcasts represent a high-profile moment for Jamaica tourism, placing Ocho Rios and the island’s north coast in front of a national morning audience. Sandals Dunn’s River will serve as the production base for the shows, with the co-hosts experiencing Jamaica on location rather than from the New York studio.

Kevin Clarke, General Manager of Sandals Dunn’s River, said the resort is preparing to welcome both the hosts and viewers.

“We’re looking forward to rolling out the red carpet of island hospitality for our friends at the Today Show and viewers alike,” Clarke said. “Beyond the stunning backdrop of the beautiful Sandals Dunn’s River, we’re eager to share the heart and soul of Jamaica, showcasing what makes this island so special to us and all who visit.”

Inside Sandals Dunn’s River

Sandals Dunn’s River reopened as a fully reimagined property, bringing one of the brand’s original Jamaica resorts back online with updated accommodations and expanded culinary concepts. The adults-only resort features a collection of suites, including swim-up designs and rooftop options with private pools, alongside beachfront rooms that place guests within steps of the water.

Dining spans multiple concepts, from Caribbean-forward menus to Mediterranean and Latin-influenced restaurants, along with a coffee bar and cocktail lounges that anchor the evenings. As with all Sandals properties, the rate structure includes unlimited meals, premium spirits, gratuities, water sports, and certified scuba diving for qualified divers.

The location in Ocho Rios places guests near some of Jamaica’s most recognized natural attractions, including the cascading waterfalls at Dunn’s River Falls and the Blue Hole inland from the coast. The resort’s beachfront setting offers direct access to swimming, paddleboarding, and snorkeling without leaving the property.

A Spotlight on Ocho Rios

Ocho Rios has long been one of Jamaica’s anchor destinations, balancing cruise port energy, waterfall excursions, and resort development along the north coast corridor. The area draws both first-time visitors and repeat travelers looking for a combination of beach time and off-property exploration.

By situating the TODAY broadcasts at Sandals Dunn’s River, producers are effectively turning Ocho Rios into a live set, with the Caribbean Sea and Jamaica’s lush hills forming the backdrop for two consecutive national broadcasts.

The partnership between NBC’s TODAY, the Jamaica Tourist Board, and Sandals Resorts aligns with a broader strategy of destination storytelling through high-visibility media placements. National morning shows routinely drive interest and bookings following on-location episodes, particularly when paired with viewer contests.

From Studio Lights to Island Sun

The March tapings will mark the first official “Girls Trip” broadcast since Sheinelle Jones stepped into her new co-host role alongside Jenna Bush Hager earlier this year. Moving the show from Rockefeller Plaza to Jamaica’s shoreline underscores a shift toward experiential programming that connects directly with travel.

For viewers, the appeal extends beyond watching the episodes. The chance to join a live audience in Jamaica, with airfare and accommodations covered, adds an interactive dimension to the broadcast.

The winner and a guest will not only experience Sandals Dunn’s River’s all-inclusive offering but also attend the live taping environment, blending morning television production with Caribbean vacation.

The two-episode event airs March 26 and 27 on NBC. Entry details for the viewer giveaway are available through the show’s official website.
