Introducing: TAG Heuer Upsizes the Carrera Chronograph Glassbox to 41mm

Vintage Carreras largely measured 36mm, so 39mm was already a slight modernization. But size is a highly personal and divisive topic, so the increase to a 41mm (14.17mm thick) stainless steel case size is sure to be a welcome option for some buyers. The larger size also alters the balance, as the case thickness remains the same.

But it’s more than just a size change. The design drops the other divisive feature: the date. Now the dials, in blue, teal green, or black with a circular brushed finish (the latter with a red outer ring), have no date window but retain the tachymeter at the edge, with running seconds, 30-minute, and 12-hour counters. The cases, meanwhile, are still faceted, with brushed sides.
