Frontier Airlines Is Launching New Philadelphia–Dominican Republic Flights

Frontier Airlines is adding another option for travelers out of Philadelphia International Airport, with new nonstop service to one of the fastest-growing destinations in the Dominican Republic.

The carrier will begin operating flights between Philadelphia and Santiago de los Caballeros on Dec. 18, 2025.

Service will run twice weekly, giving travelers in the Mid-Atlantic direct access to the Dominican Republic’s second-largest city. Introductory fares are being advertised from $99 one way.

The new flights come as the Dominican Republic continues to post record tourism arrivals, driven by strong demand from U.S. gateways. Santiago, long regarded as the cultural heart of the Cibao Valley, is increasingly becoming part of that growth story.

Travelers are discovering a vibrant city with a flourishing dining scene, colonial architecture, museums and an ideal base for exploring the lush mountain landscapes of Jarabacoa and Constanza.

In the last two years, Santiago’s airport has seen a wave of new international routes, with carriers from the United States steadily expanding service to meet rising demand. The expansion has positioned the city as a key player in the Dominican Republic’s tourism landscape, complementing the country’s established coastal resort hubs.

For Philadelphia International Airport, the announcement adds to its expanding roster of Caribbean destinations. Low-cost carriers like Frontier are steadily building out more connections to the region, tapping into the Dominican Republic’s position as the most-visited destination in the Caribbean.

Frontier’s launch highlights Santiago’s momentum, adding yet another direct link to one of the Caribbean’s fastest-growing tourism markets.

It’s the second major new flight announcement for Santiago, following a new launch announcement on JetBlue from Fort Lauderdale last month.
