The Caribbean’s 25 Best All-Inclusive Resorts for Summer Vacations, From Swim-Up Suites to Private Islands and Rooftop Pools

Summer is when the Caribbean starts feeling looser.

The beaches get quieter. The water gets warmer. Across the region, summer has quietly become one of the smartest times to visit, particularly at all-inclusive resorts where rates soften and upgraded room categories suddenly become available again.

And travelers keep leaning into the format. Caribbean all-inclusive demand continues to climb, especially for resorts with stronger food, better design and a closer connection to the islands around them.

These are the Caribbean Journal editors’ favorite all-inclusive resorts for a summer vacation right now: places with standout beaches, memorable bars, excellent pools and the kind of atmosphere that keeps turning four-night trips into weeklong stays.

We always say that the Caribbean is even better than the summer. So what are you waiting for?

Princess Senses The Mangrove.

Princess Senses The Mangrove, Jamaica

The newest adults-only all-inclusive in Jamaica feels more layered than many of the island’s other large resorts. Wooden walkways cut through the mangroves, rooftop pools stay active well past sunset and overwater hammocks have become one of the property’s signature spots. The resort opened near Green Island, west of Montego Bay, with 401 suites and villas spread across the coastline. Of course, the best part are the overwater villas, some of the most spectqacular in the region.

One of the new Lopesan resorts in Punta Cana.

Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resort, Spa and Casino, Dominican Republic

There’s a different pulse at Lopesan Costa Bávaro. Guests drift between the beach, the large lagoon-style pools and The Boulevard, the resort’s open-air entertainment district filled with bars, restaurants and late-night spots. The resort has 1,042 rooms facing Bávaro Beach, along with one of the most distinctive lobby designs in Punta Cana. We like Inari, the Japanese restaurant, and the quieter feel inside the adults-only Unique section. Lopesan is also expanding aggressively in Punta Cana, with three new resorts opening this year: Lopesan Splash CoveLopesan Serenity Bay and Lopesan Caoba Lagoon, adding more than 1,000 additional rooms to the complex.

The newest all-inclusive addition at Beaches Turks and Caicos.

Beaches Turks and Caicos, Turks and Caicos Islands

The biggest story here right now is Treasure Beach Village. The new expansion added more than 100 suites and large villa-style residences to a resort that already had 758 rooms spread across different villages along Grace Bay Beach. The new area feels calmer and more residential, with quieter pools, larger family accommodations and easier beach access. We like the daily routine here: mornings on Grace Bay, lunches at Arizona’s, coffee stops at Café de Paris and evenings around the new village pools before dinner at Le Petit Château.

The Sandals Dunn’s River resort, where I visited when it reopened last month.

Sandals Dunn’s River, Jamaica

This recently-reopened Ocho Rios resort has quickly become one of the strongest hotels in the Sandals portfolio. The resort reopened with 260 rooms and suites, but it feels more intimate than the number suggests because of the way the restaurants, pools and beach areas are spread out. Dunn’s Rum Club has become the social center of the resort after dark. We like the Coyaba Sky Rondoval Villas, which add rooftop terraces and private pools while still keeping guests close to the beach and main restaurants.

Antigua’s Hammock Cove.

Hammock Cove, Antigua and Barbuda

Everything slows down at Hammock Cove. There are only 42 villas here, all with plunge pools and water views on Antigua’s northeast coast near Devil’s Bridge National Park. Dinner never feels rushed. Neither do afternoons at the beach bar. We like lingering lunches at Irina’s Bistro and the way the hillside suites catch the changing light late in the day.

grenadagrenada
You wake up to this beach at the Spice Island Beach Resort in Grenada.

Spice Island Beach Resort, Grenada

This family-owned resort remains one of the classic stays on Grand Anse Beach. The 64 suites are spread across low-rise buildings facing the sand, with almost every path leading back to the water. Oliver’s Restaurant still feels unmistakably Grenadian, particularly at dinner when local seafood and island spices dominate the ever-changing, multi-course menu. We like the beachfront suites closest to the shoreline, where the surf stays audible through the evening. But the garden suite wth their own plunge pools have their own allure.

all-inclusive caribbean fort youngall-inclusive caribbean fort young
The Fort Young.

Fort Young Hotel and Dive Resort, Dominica

Built into a historic fort directly on the Roseau waterfront, Fort Young feels connected to Dominica in a way very few Caribbean all-inclusives do. Boats drift into the harbor nearby while green volcanic peaks rise behind the capital. The hotel now has 100 rooms after its recent expansion. We like coming back from waterfall hikes or diving trips to cocktails at Balas Bar, particularly during summer when Roseau gets noticeably quieter. The coolest thing is how the resort actually includes excursions around Dominica and its unmatched adventure offering as part of your stay.

The O2 Beach Club in Barbados is a fun, energetic vacation option for summer, with cool breezes from the beach.

O2 Beach Club and Spa, Barbados

The water off Dover Beach turns brilliantly clear in summer, and the beach at O2 Beach Club stays active from early morning through sunset. The resort has 130 suites and rooms spread across Barbados’ south coast, with a stronger food program than many newer all-inclusive resorts on the island. We like dinner at Brisa, the rooftop restaurant, and the oversized oceanfront suites in the adults-only section – along with the ground-floor swim-up rooms.

delta st vincentdelta st vincent
The beach at Sandals St Vincent.

Sandals Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

The setting is what changes everything here. Thick green hills drop toward a quiet cove on Saint Vincent’s western coast, giving the newest Sandals resort a completely different atmosphere from the brand’s other Caribbean properties. The resort opened with 301 rooms and suites surrounded by rainforest-covered mountains and dark volcanic sand.

The St James’s Club in Antigua.

St. James’s Club Antigua

This longtime Antigua resort spreads across a peninsula with two completely different beaches: one calm and protected, the other facing open water and stronger surf. The resort’s 248 rooms are spread across hillside villas and beachfront buildings overlooking Mamora Bay. The two stunning beaches, each with its own vibe and scenery, are really worth the trip alone, but there’s just so much, from a great barbecue night to pickleball to a wonderful fitness center. It’s also in a great location close to English Harbour.

Hermitage Bay.

Hermitage Bay, Antigua and Barbuda

There are only 30 suites at Hermitage Bay, and the quiet changes the entire pace of the stay. Hillside suites open toward the bay with private plunge pools, while beach suites sit directly on the sand. The beach bar remains one of the best places in Antigua for a long lunch and a rum punch. We like the understated feel of the resort, particularly at dinner when the menu shifts nightly based on local catches and island produce. It’s elegant, refined, and endlessly serene.

The Princess Grand Jamaica.

Princess Grand Jamaica

Families have made a home at this resort very quickly. The property opened near Green Island with 590 suites, a large water park and one of the broadest beaches on Jamaica’s northwestern coast. We like the Food Market food hall-style concept, which makes meals much easier for families than the typical reservation-heavy all-inclusive routine. The beach stays especially calm in summer, and the programming is endless.

Sandals Royal Curacao and its signature pool.

Sandals Royal Curaçao

The infinity pool facing the coast has become one of the Caribbean’s signature resort scenes. This 351-room resort introduced a different architectural style for Sandals, along with an even stronger connection to the island beyond the resort itself. We like dinner at Vincent, the European-Caribbean fusion restaurant, and the seaside Awa bungalows closest to the shoreline. We also recommend going for one of the Mini Cooper excursions around the island, which sometimes can come with your room depending on how you book.

Il Mare.Il Mare.
Il Mare is a unique place to stay, with its modular bungalows on the beach.

Dreams Curaçao Resort, Spa and Casino

Close enough to Willemstad for easy day trips, this resort gives guests a different kind of Curaçao vacation. The property has 197 rooms and suites on Piscadera Bay, with calm water that stays particularly good for swimming and paddleboarding during summer. We like breakfast at Portofino and the easy balance between beach time and exploring Curaçao beyond the resort. The real standout? Il Mare, the property’s adults-only enclave that consists of innovative modular bungalows set literally right on the sand.

The new resort is in northern St Lucia.

Secrets Saint Lucia Resort and Spa, Saint Lucia

Saint Lucia’s new Secrets resort added a large adults-only all-inclusive option to the island’s northwestern coast, with more than 350 rooms and suites overlooking the Caribbean Sea. The piano bar becomes one of the busiest spots after dinner, especially during longer summer evenings. We like the location near Rodney Bay, which makes it easy to split time between the resort and Saint Lucia’s beach bars, marinas and restaurants nearby. It’s a great combination of Secrets’ adult-friendly convenience and Saint Lucia’s natural beauty.

We love the adults-only Warwick Paradise Island resort and its perch on Nassau Harbour.

Warwick Paradise Island Bahamas

Harbor views define the experience here. Ferries and yachts drift through Nassau Harbour throughout the day, giving the adults-only Warwick Paradise Island a different atmosphere than the oceanfront mega-resorts nearby. The hotel has 250 rooms overlooking the marina side of Paradise Island. My favorite thing about this resort is the food — it’s seriously good, as is the value.

The Sam Lord’s Castle resort in Barbados.

Wyndham Grand Barbados Sam Lord’s Castle All Inclusive Resort

This resort brought one of Barbados’ best-known historic sites back to life. The property opened with 422 rooms on the island’s southeastern coast, where the Atlantic-facing shoreline stays dramatic year-round. Burnt Cask has quickly become the resort’s standout bar, with a large selection of rums from around the Caribbean. This is a large, modern resort, with a particular standout: one of the best all-inclusive spas you’ll ever find.

The Sandals Royal Bahamian resort in Nassau.

Sandals Royal Bahamian, Bahamas

The offshore island still shapes the entire stay here. Guests split their days between the main Nassau resort and the private island just offshore, where beach cabanas, snorkeling spots and open-air lunches at Aralia on the island pull everyone toward the water. The resort has 404 rooms and suites. We like the swim-up suites closest to the main pool, particularly for shorter summer trips, and the Cable Beach location.

The Sea Breeze Beach House and its white-sand beach.

Sea Breeze Beach House, Barbados

This south-coast Barbados resort feels more personal than many larger all-inclusive hotels. The 122 rooms and suites are spread across quieter adults-only areas and livelier family sections facing Maxwell Beach. What’s cool here is how the resort incorporates Bajan culture into your stay, whether with regular rum tastings or legitimately good flying fish on the menu.

It’s hard to beat.

Sandals Barbados

The energy here feels distinctly different from other Sandals resorts. Pools stay busy late into the afternoon, restaurants fill quickly and the atmosphere around Dover Beach stays active throughout the day. The resort has 280 rooms and suites, along with one of the broadest restaurant lineups in the Sandals portfolio. We like Butch’s Steak and Seafood and the beachfront Skypool Suites.

Pineapple Beach Club Antigua

This adults-only Antigua resort stretches along a long curve of white sand on the island’s northeastern coast. The property has 180 rooms spread across gardens and beachfront buildings facing Long Bay. We like the easygoing beach atmosphere here and dinners at Topaz, particularly after long afternoons spent floating in the calm water just offshore. But we really like the pickleball offering, one of the best on the planet. We actually named it Caribbean Pickleball Resort of the Year in 2026.

Cayo Espanto.

Cayo Espanto, Belize

There are only seven villas at Cayo Espanto, and every stay here feels completely removed from the rest of the world. The private-island resort sits off the coast of Ambergris Caye, with meals delivered directly to villas and boats waiting nearby for snorkeling trips and fishing charters. We like dining on the overwater deck at sunset and the complete privacy of the beachfront villas.

Exuma.

Fowl Cay Resort, Bahamas

Nothing about Fowl Cay feels standardized. Guests get their own boat for the duration of the stay, turning the Exumas into a personal playground of empty beaches and sandbars. The resort has just six villas spread across the private island. We like grilling fresh seafood back at the villa after long days exploring the Exuma chain.

The Verandah Antigua

This Antigua resort spreads across 30 beachfront acres with walking paths, hillside cottages and broad views toward the water. The property has 186 suites overlooking two white-sand beaches on the island’s northeastern coast. What I love most about this resort is the feel — it has the ambience of a Caribbean village. This is not a megaresort; it’s a thoughtfully designed property with single-story cottages and beautifully landscaped grounds. It just feels serene. (And we love the sports bar, too).
