TREAT YOURSELF
Oris returns to the waters of New York City with the New York Harbor Limited Edition II, a striking continuation of its mission-driven collaboration with the Billion Oyster Project. While the ecological challenges facing our planet can feel overwhelming, Oris reminds us that individual actions—when united—can create an extraordinary impact. This 2,000-piece limited edition draws inspiration from one of nature’s most resilient heroes: the oyster.
Housed in a 43.5mm stainless steel case and water resistant to 300 meters, this refined dive watch features an aqua green mother-of-pearl dial, reminiscent of the protective shell of the oyster itself. Inside beats the Oris Calibre 733, an automatic movement offering time, date, and 41 hours of power reserve. With indices and hands filled with Super-LumiNova®, a domed sapphire crystal, and a unidirectional relief bezel, the Aquis design is as functional as it is beautiful. The watch comes fitted to a stainless steel bracelet and includes an additional aqua green rubber strap—ready for anything you can throw at it.
Each caseback is engraved with commemorative artwork and individually numbered. A portion of proceeds from each sale directly supports the Billion Oyster Project, which aims to restore one billion oysters to New York Harbor. With 150 million oysters already returned, the initiative is proof that collective change is not only possible—it’s happening.
VALUE PICK
Tissot re-visits one of its iconic mid-century designs to create a tasteful, refined everyday companion in the new Visodate. With case proportions of 39mm in diameter, 45mm lug-to-lug, and under 11mm thick, the refined dimensions favor classic proportions that wear exceptionally well. Tucked away under the domed sapphire crystal and stainless case, a Powermatic 80 movement ticks away, offering 80 hours of power reserve, an anti-magnetic Nivachron mainspring, and accuracy of ∓ 7 seconds per day. Additionally, the Visodate features a display caseback, showing off the movement when not on the wrist.
The Visodate 39 comes in three distinct references: a classic black dial or a striking blue dial on a beads of rice bracelet, and a two-tone silver and gold dial on an alligator-style leather band. With quick-release spring bars and a 20mm lug width, you can easily swap in your favorite strap. Each version features subtle Super-LumiNova indices and a trapezoidal date window at 3 o’clock, reminiscent of the vintage design. With a 50-meter water resistance rating, the Visodate is engineered as a robust daily dress watch that bridges the gap between heritage and contemporary utility.
NOT ANOTHER WATCH!
Since their introduction, cell phones have changed the world in numerous ways. Despite all of their good impacts, it’s probably safe to say that spending more time off than on your phone is a good idea, especially when you’re trying to sleep. That’s where the Nanu Arc comes into play. Built from a cast zinc housing with ABS panels, mineral glass, a silent movement, and a minimal OLED alarm display, the Arc’s analog forward design seamlessly replaces your smartphone when it comes to starting your day. Forgoing loud bells or electronic alarms, the Arc uses an alloy aluminium chime to gently wake you up, setting the tone for your day.
In an era where consumer electronics are one of the fastest-growing waste streams, the Arc was designed with a minimum life expectancy of 10 years and is fully repairable should anything happen. Tactile control knobs on the front and rear of the Arc enable you to adjust the analog time display, brightness, and alarm start time. Hidden within the analog display, a small OLED display indicates whether the alarm is active or inactive, as well as the time you’ve set it to. Across the top of the Arc is a long snooze bar, for those days when you need to get going, but in a few minutes. Powered by a USB-C cable for everyday operations, the Arc also includes an internal battery designed to keep the clock running for up to 16 hours without power.
UPGRADE YOUR EDC
The James Brand Redstone set out on a mission: to become a lightweight and compact tool that accompanies you on any adventure that comes your way. To accomplish this mission, James Brand worked with professional climber Savannah Cummins to create an entirely new knife concept. The James Brand didn’t just make a knife that looks different; it is different. Forgoing traditional knife design, the Redstone features a one-piece liner with injection-molded “islands” on each side inspired by rock climbing handholds. This new design not only helps to improve ergonomics and reduce weight, but it also allows for bold color configurations.
Whether you’re hanging off the side of a cliff, opening a package, or even cutting some fruit, the Redstone’s innovative design allows for one-handed operation, both opening and closing. Pulling down on the slide lock allows the blade to be easily flicked open or closed, while the large finger hole cut into the blade can be used for a slower, more controlled opening. Weighing in at 1.8 ounces (50 grams), the Redstone features a 2.5”, partially serrated blade made from Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel, a deep carry style bent wire clip, and an integrated lanyard hole on the rear island scale.
DEAL OF THE WEEK
In celebration of 35 years of creating purpose-built tool watches for land, air, and sea under the Promaster tagline, the Citizen Promaster Land combines rugged utility and new technology. Starting with the 43.9mm stainless case, an external gray IP coating protects your watch from scratches and dings, while the sapphire crystal and anti-reflective coating ensure you can read your watch anywhere you might find yourself. Wrapped around the crystal is a steel bezel decorated in a subtle, black and white camouflage pattern. Inside, the new U822 movement upgrades the traditional LCD to a Memory-In-Pixel (MIP) display, which provides better legibility and reduced power draw. Speaking of power, you won’t have to worry about replacing the battery in this watch, as it’s powered by Citizen’s Eco-drive technology, meaning that light from any source will keep this watch powered and running.
Luminous hands and markers stand out against the camo-patterned dial and background for high legibility, while the large dial is broken up by subdials at 4:00 and 8:00, displaying the light level indicator and selected complication on the MIP display. Two right-side pushers allow the user to select the desired complication on the display, which includes a world time, chronograph, alarm, light level indicator, perpetual calendar, power save mode, charge level display, and summertime display. On the left side, the 8:00 crown is used to rotate the internal compass bezel. Limited to 5,900 unnumbered pieces, the 35th anniversary Promaster Land comes on a stainless steel bracelet, with an additional matching camouflage strap.
