The International Centre of Excellence in Tourism and Hospitality Education (THE-ICE) has announced that École Hôtelière Genève (EHG) has become the first institution globally to achieve THE-ICE VErified certification, marking an important milestone for vocational tourism and hospitality education.
THE-ICE VErified is an internationally recognised quality certification developed specifically for vocational education and training institutions offering courses in tourism, hospitality, events, and culinary arts (TH&E).
The certification recognises institutions that demonstrate excellence in vocational TH&E education and a strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
As the first institution to achieve certification, École Hôtelière Genève reinforces its position as a leader in vocational hospitality education and training, setting an important benchmark for institutions worldwide.

The certification process involved a self-assessment and independent review conducted by members of THE-ICE’s VErifier Panel.
Dr Craig Thompson, CEO of THE-ICE, said the certification represents an important step in strengthening global quality frameworks for vocational hospitality education.
