The redevelopment of the iconic Hotel van Oranje on Koningin Wilhelminaboulevard in Noordwijk aan Zee, in the Netherlands, is now underway. Following the start of construction on Residences van Oranje in January, work has now also begun on the large-scale renovation and extension of the five-star hotel.
The redevelopment will see the addition of two extra floors, along with a completely new façade, roof, and dome added. The hotel will be connected via a skybridge to Residences van Oranje, two luxury apartment complexes currently being built. The design offers a modern interpretation of the classic architecture found in southern French seaside resorts such as Cannes, Nice, and Saint-Tropez, featuring elegant bay windows, spacious terraces, small towers and refined detailing.
Once completed, guests and residents will be able to enjoy high-quality facilities and services, including 24/7 security, housekeeping and room service. In addition, the hotel will offer extensive wellness and fitness facilities covering over 2,000 m², including an indoor swimming pool, saunas, steam rooms and a range of spa facilities.
The hotel, measuring approximately 23,000 m², will feature 244 rooms, including spacious suites with sea views. It will also house a ballroom and various multi-purpose meeting rooms for conferences, events and weddings. The hotel’s culinary offerings include several restaurants, a stylish hotel lounge and a bar with a seaside terrace. A particular highlight will be the fine dining restaurant in the glass dome, offering panoramic views of the coast.

This redevelopment combines historic charm with modern luxury, wellness and high-quality meeting facilities. We look forward to creating an exceptional destination for both leisure and business guests, setting a new standard for luxury coastal resorts in the Netherlands.”
Planning
The work will be carried out in phases. Construction of the new façade and the addition of two additional floors will begin in the second quarter of 2026. The full opening of the newly-renovated Hotel van Oranje is scheduled for autumn 2028.
