Valencia Hotel Collection proudly announces the appointment of John Thomas as General Manager and Anna Darden as Director of Sales and Marketing of Caravan Court, the eighth property in the Valencia Hotel Collection, set to debut in Arlington, Texas in Spring 2026. Together, these strategic leadership additions reinforce the hotel’s commitment to operational excellence, revenue growth, and elevated guest experiences. 

As General Manager, Thomas will oversee all hotel operations, including financial performance, team development, and guest experience initiatives, while preserving the distinct character and sense of place that define Caravan Court. A highly respected hospitality leader, Thomas brings a distinguished career leading boutique, lifestyle, and full-service hotels across Texas’ most competitive markets.

Thomas has held progressive leadership roles at Hotel Valencia Riverwalk in San Antonio and Hotel Sorella City Centre in Houston, where he developed a strong foundation in luxury service, operational excellence, and revenue optimization. He later served as General Manager of Lone Star Court in Austin, driving performance through strategic sales initiatives, innovative guest programming, and strong team development. Most recently, Thomas led Texican Court in Irving, strengthening brand identity, improving operational efficiencies, and increasing market share and guest satisfaction.

Known for cultivating high-performing teams and fostering a culture of warm, genuine hospitality, Thomas blends data-driven decision-making with a hands-on approach to the guest experience, making him a trusted leader in the boutique and lifestyle hotel space.

Alongside Thomas, Caravan Court welcomes Anna Darden as Director of Sales and Marketing. In her role, Darden will lead sales strategy, group and corporate business development, and market positioning for the property, with a focus on driving sustainable revenue growth and long-term partnerships.

Darden brings more than five years of hospitality sales leadership experience, including area level sales management roles for both large-scale hotels and boutique lifestyle properties. Her background spans competitive markets, where she has consistently delivered results through a relationship-focused, strategic approach to sales.
