THE ROUNDUP
Hand-Hammered Titanium, a Retro Devil Diver, and Must-Have EDC Gear
Windup Watch Shop – February 16, 2026
Welcome to The Roundup, Windup Watch Shop’s semi-weekly curation of watches, EDC, and accessories. From “Value-Packed Picks” to our “Deal of the Week,” we’ve found the best gear so you don’t have to. Don’t forget you can stop by our Brooklyn Showroom to check any of these items out in person!
TREAT YOURSELF
Want a watch that can withstand anything you throw at it? You probably already know that the answer is G-SHOCK, but our Treat Yo Self pick ups the ante by pairing that trademark indestructability with Japanese metalworking. The MRG‑B5000HT‑1 takes the time-proven square profile of the iconic do-it-all watch and adds a hand-hammered “tsuiki” bezel and bracelet made individually by master metalsmith Kazuya Watanabe, giving the watch a “yuragi” pattern and texture.
The case itself is forged in DAT55G titanium alloy, three times harder than pure titanium and corrosion-resistant, and coated in carbon DLC, ensuring that despite the beauty of the MRG‑B5000HT‑1, you won’t be afraid to take it on all your adventures. It also touts the robust features you’ve come to expect from the brand, with world time, a stop watch, alarms, Super Illuminator LED lighting, Tough Solar charging, and Multi-Band 6 atomic timekeeping. It’s a limited piece from Casio’s Premium Production Line in Japan, and you won’t want to miss having one on your wrist. Hop over to the shop to check it out!
VALUE PICK
Bulova straddles that finicky line between historic recognition and budget-oriented savviness, allowing for a touch of standout luxury in a crowded price bracket. The Caravelle by Bulova line, in production since 1962, offers what the brand calls “retro-cool aesthetics”; essentially, the design ethos here is vintage-inspired with recognizable inspirations. The Sea Hunter, our Value Pick, follows that directive and adds a layer of dive watch functionality on top, with 200 meter water resistance and a 39mm stainless steel case. The domed sapphire crystal is appropriately retro, and the colorway and design call back to the original Caravelle Sea Hunter “Devil Diver” from the 1970s.
Three colorways are currently available: green, blue, and black and gold. A fourth black option is on the way, and all come with the choice of either a matching steel bracelet or a black silicone strap. The sleek black bezel paired with the beige numerals and date window at 6 give the Sea Hunter that iconic retro profile, and each watch is powered by a reliable Miyota 8215-33E automatic movement with hacking seconds. A classically-styled diver with rugged capability, the Sea Hunter is a steal at $375.
NOT ANOTHER WATCH!
You can only cram so many watches onto a bedside table, and what happens when you need to pack your bags for that long-awaited vacation? Enter the Rickshaw Bagworks Timekeeper 2 Ultragrid Nylon watch case. With Royal Plush lining and exterior foam padding, your watches will be safe and sound inside the Timekeeper 2, where two pockets accommodate timepieces up to 45mm in diameter.
Each Timekeeper 2 case is finished with high-quality, handcrafted materials and assembled from scratch in Rickshaw’s San Francisco factory. Final touches include a YKK #5 zipper with a paracord pull, and plenty of stylish colorways to choose from. At just 6.75 by 3 by 0.75 inches, the Timekeeper 2 can easily slip inside a backpack, totebag, or luggage, making it the perfect excuse to bring two of your favorite watches on your next adventure, so check it out at the shop and get travel planning!
UPGRADE YOUR EDC
Sure, everyone can carry around a pocket knife or boxcutter, but does everyone have a proper cleaver in their EDC lineup? You can claim that crown with the Gerber Flatiron cleaver, which proves that even beefy blades have a place in your bag. The Flatiron boasts a 7cr steel blade with a thumb hole for easy opening and closing, and measures in at 8.4 inches and 3.9 ounces.
The PVD frame lock ensures that it won’t come undone when tucked away, and the finger choil allows for a more secure grip higher on the handle. A pocket for low-profile carry improves the portability and it comes with an outstanding Limited Lifetime warranty from Gerber. Coyote, Grey, and Micarta & D2 handle options are available, for extra customization; the Flatiron can be yours at $61.99 on the Windup shop.
DEAL OF THE WEEK
Crafted with stealth and simplicity in mind, the AVI-8 CVRT 3775A exemplifies the tool watch ethos in a compact and versatile package. Pronounced “covert”, the CVRT is a jack-of-all-trades timepiece, and takes cues from field, pilot, and dive watches. The hard-coated stainless steel case measures in at an effortlessly wearable 37.75mm with a slim 11mm in thickness, and promises 100 meters of water resistance. For legibility, the raised C3 Super-Luminova numerals stand out against the matte black dial and when paired with the tapered baton-style hands, create a simple but stylish aesthetic.
A date window between 3 and 4 o’clock, discreet minute track, and minimal branding complete the stealthy look of the CVRT. Inside, a Miyota 9015 automatic movement offers hacking seconds, quick-set date, and a 41-hour power reserve. The two-piece knurled bumper bezel and 4 o’clock crown are both easy to grip and manipulate, making the CVRT as functional as it is sleek. So, looking to slide your sense of style under-the-radar? The AVI-8 CVRT 3775A is on sale for $360 on the Windup shop, and might just be the watch for you.
