Priced at $7,800, the A3643 sits within a highly competitive price point today, but it is also a watch whose only real visual competition comes from within Zenith’s own catalogue. In other words, in my eyes, its closest rivals are other Defy Revivals, which says more about the strength of the original design than any need to chase contemporary trends.
This leaves the Defy Revival A3643 neither modernising the past nor hiding behind it. Instead, it allows a great historical design to exist comfortably in the present.
