The stainless steel case, with a mix of brushed surfaces and polished chamfers, measures 39mm, with a rotating tension-fit bezel that overhangs the case to 41.7mm. The large red pusher sits at around 9:30 while the crown is at 10 o’clock. That, combined with the fact that the proprietary ALB02 M movement is based on the Valjoux 7750 architecture, means the subdials are in the lower portion of the dial (kind of like the Datograph). The case is reasonably thin due to the manual-winding architecture as well (12mm).
The rest of the watch is exactly why we like Albishorn. It’s thoughtfully considered, with the right hues of beige, a nicely textured dial, and the small dot aperture at 12 o’clock to indicate when the chronograph is running.
