The Government of Jamaica has launched an official relief and recovery platform following the impact of Hurricane Melissa. The new website — supportjamaica.gov.jm — is designed to coordinate relief efforts, mobilize support, and provide critical resources for those affected by the storm.
Through the platform, users can make secure donations, submit pledges, report emergencies, and find nearby shelters. It will also serve as a key tool for Jamaicans abroad who want to contribute to national recovery efforts.
Government officials are reminding the public to ensure they are using only official websites. “If it doesn’t end with .gov.jm, it is not an official Government of Jamaica website,” the announcement emphasized.
Hurricane Melissa made its closest approach to western Jamaica, bringing heavy rain, flash flooding, and widespread damage across parts of the island. Relief operations and emergency response efforts are now underway.
