Writer-Loved Kitchen Cleaning Supplies

It’s no easy feat to keep my kitchen clean, especially in the fall and winter when I cook most nights of the week. It seems like no matter what I do, there are always crumbs to clear off of counters, food to clean out of my sink, and dishes that need scrubbing.

It’s taken me years (and a lot of trial and error), but I finally have a reliable cleaning system in place that ensures my kitchen never gets too messy. Read on to shop the sprays, dish soaps, sponges, organizers, and handheld vacuums that keep my counters spotless. The best part? My favorite cleaning tools start at just $4 at Amazon.

Writer-Loved Kitchen Cleaning Supplies

KitchenAid Albany Kitchen Towels, Set of 4

Amazon

It always pays to have more kitchen towels handy than you think you’ll need. When I’m not wiping my counters, I’m drying a dish or wrapping a towel around a hot pan handle. I recommend grabbing two of these 4-packs, so you’ll never find yourself without a clean, dry rag.

Black+Decker Dustbuster Reveal Handheld Vacuum

Amazon

When the brand sent me this handheld vacuum to test last month, I couldn’t have been more excited. I’m constantly sweeping crumbs off my counters and wiping them off my floors, so this easily maneuverable vacuum sees daily use in my kitchen (and around my apartment in general). In addition to its portability and power, I also appreciate that it has a light to illuminate dark corners and under-sink ledges.

Dorai Home Sink Caddy

Amazon

I’m a big fan of my Dorai dish pad, which looks great on my counter and folds up easily when not in use. Since I’m constantly having to wipe up pools of water from underneath wet sponges and sudsy soap bottles, I’m also thinking about adding the brand’s stone sink caddy to my collection. I love its compact size, simple aesthetic, and, most importantly, its ability to absorb water.

Scrub Daddy Sponges, Set of 3

Amazon

I couldn’t clean anything in my kitchen without my trusty Scrub Daddy sponges. With a texture that turns rough in cold water and more pliable in hot, this sponge is the best tool for cleaning cast iron cookware, stainless steel skillets, and nonstick pans alike. I always recommend getting a 3-pack when you can find it, because even though these sponges last longer than most and are dishwasher-safe, they still need to be replaced every so often.

Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day All-Purpose Cleaner Spray

Amazon

Mrs. Meyer’s cleaning spray has been my go-to for years. It never leaves streaks behind on my counters, but it always leaves a lingering scent that I would happily wear as perfume. The brand’s seasonal apple cider launch happens to be one of my favorites — it smells like fall, apple orchards, and warm spices.

Dawn Platinum Powerwash Dish Spray

Amazon

Dish soap is an essential cleaning product, but I’m guessing no one expends that much energy or brain power thinking about it. I, on the other hand, have spent far too long contemplating the merits of the Dawn Platinum Powerwash Dish Spray. I love that I can spray it instead of drizzle it, and glory in how easily it cuts through grease. I could never go back to regular dish soap now that I’ve met this sudsy spray.

Glisten Garbage Disposal Cleaner

Amazon

Nothing is more off-putting than a smelly garbage disposal. Luckily, Glisten’s cleaning packs take care of any stench coming from my sink. Simply get a stream of water running, place the pack in the disposal, turn it on, and let it spin until the foam and smell dissipate.

Delamu 2-Tier Under-Sink Organizer, Set of 2

Amazon

I’m in desperate need of some under-sink organization. Between the bottles of cleaning products, extra soaps, and packs of sponges, I have a difficult time finding what I’m looking for. Given the state of things under there, I’m seriously considering adding this popular organizer to my Amazon cart. The set has multiple tiers, five-star ratings from thousands of shoppers, and is on sale for a limited time.
