Carnival Freedom is Moving to Norfolk

Carnival Cruise Line is bringing one of its most popular ships to Norfolk, Virginia.

The Carnival Freedom will reposition from Port Canaveral to Norfolk in May 2027, beginning with a special 15-day Carnival Journeys sailing through the Southern Caribbean. That cruise will call on Aruba, Curacao, Grenada, Barbados, St. Lucia, Antigua, St. Maarten and St. Thomas before the ship arrives in Norfolk on May 23, 2027.

From that date, Carnival Freedom will launch the most diverse cruise program ever offered from Norfolk.

Sailings will include six-day Bahamas cruises visiting Celebration Key, Nassau and Bimini, along with six-day Bermuda cruises that give guests two full days to explore the island.

For longer itineraries, the ship will sail eight-day Eastern Caribbean voyages, with calls on Amber Cove, RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay and Grand Turk.

The Carnival Freedom, a Conquest-class ship with capacity for nearly 3,000 guests, blends fun, relaxation and adventure at sea. The ship features multiple dining venues, the WaterWorks waterpark and the popular RedFrog Pub, along with Carnival’s signature onboard experiences.
