interCaribbean Expands Service to South Caicos Amid American Airlines Seasonal Shift

South Caicos will remain easily accessible this fall thanks to a significant expansion by interCaribbean Airways.

With American Airlines shifting to a temporary seasonal schedule in September and October, interCaribbean has boosted both seat capacity and flight frequency between Providenciales and South Caicos.

Through Nov. 1, the airline will add 278 seats per week across an enhanced schedule of upgraded and newly introduced flights, ensuring travelers maintain seamless connections to South Caicos.

The move is particularly important for Salterra, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, the island’s newest luxury destination.

“We are delighted by interCaribbean’s swift action to maintain connectivity to South Caicos,” said John Hazard, Managing Director at Salterra. “This expanded service ensures our guests can continue to enjoy effortless travel to our island to experience the elevated hospitality and unique sense of place that defines Salterra.”

Salterra, which debuted with 100 ocean-facing guestrooms and suites, features six dining venues, an expansive spa and wellness retreat, and a robust program of curated activities. Guests can choose from guided marine adventures, culinary immersions, and cultural experiences, all designed to showcase the vibrant spirit of South Caicos while delivering the world-class service of a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa.

The enhanced interCaribbean schedule provides travelers with increased flexibility and convenience, keeping South Caicos firmly on the radar for couples, families, and luxury seekers this fall.
